One of the most important aspects of daily fantasy sports is knowing the rules of the site that you play on. Most importantly, you need to know the scoring system so that you can use it to your advantage. Today we are going to review the scoring system for Fantasy Sports Live fantasy football. Whether you play on fantasy sports live or would like to try it out, be sure to use this Fantasy Sports Live Promo Code.
Before we get into how the scoring works, let’s go over the roster requirements. On fantasy sports live you have 1 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, 1 K, and a DEF. Here is the scoring breakdown:
TD (Run, Receive, or Pass) = 6 pts
2 pt conversion (Run, Receive, or Pass) = 2 pts
1 yard rushing = 0.1 pt
1 yard receiving = 0.1 pt
5 yards passing = 0.2 pt (rounded to nearest 0.1 pt)
Fumble Lost= -2 pts
Interception Thrown = -2 pts
Made FG 0-29 yd = 2.5 pts
Made FG 30-39 yd = 3.5 pts
Made FG 40-49 yd = 4.5 pts
Made FG 50+ yd = 5.5 pts
Missed FG = -2 pts
Made Extra Point = 1 pt
When Game Starts = 12 pts
Each point scored by opponent = -0.5 pt
Sack = 1 pt
Fumble Recovery = 2 pts
Interception = 2 pts
Safety = 4 pts
This scoring system is very similar to many fantasy football leagues. You get 6 points for every TD which awards QB’s more points than most sites do for passing TD’s. This is important to note because with the extra points you should pay extra attention to the QB’s that you select each week. You might want to consider over spending on QB’s on Fantasy Sports Live.
As far as yardage goes, you get 1 point per 10 yards for either rushing or receiving and 1 point for every 25 passing yards. This is pretty typical for yardage. Now we get to the turnovers, many fantasy football sites only take away one point for either interceptions or fumbles lost, but Fantasy Sports Live takes two points away for either of these. So you might want to stay away from players that are prone to turnovers.
Finally, we get to the defense scoring. This is an interesting concept because most other sites have ranges for points allowed, but on Fantasy Sports Live you start with 12 points and then every point your defense allows you get -.5 points. All other defensive statistics are fairly normal.
So if you play on Fantasy Sports Live, make sure to remember that QB’s get 6 points for passing TD’s instead of 4. Also note that turnovers take away 2 points instead of one, and finally, you want to pick a defense that will not allow very many points. If they allow any more than 24 points, you start scoring negative. So good luck playing fantasy football and make sure to use this Fantasy Sports Live Promo Code.
